Fun Things To Do in February

Life
Library Books

The kids went back to school today after a week off for February break. Of course, it started to snow last night and made for a somewhat disorganized pick up at lunch. Matt went to get them and subsequently regretted it. We decided to keep the two B’s home for the rest of the day… they are now playing school at home, rather noisily, while I try to get some writing done.

Some of the fun things we did over the break…

Mini golf. Each of the kids got a hole in one and Matt only went 6 over par.

Visiting a library for the first time since we moved to Saskatoon and checking out some books, including this and this.

Re-watching this only this time with the kids, on Movie Night. Blythe asked why it was rated R and I couldn’t remember why exactly. I had thought it was just language, but there were some more adult themes that hopefully flew over their heads.

Matt and the kids had a blast playing this in the backyard as the weather was still mild and the grass was still visible.

Getting this app again. Works much better with my Iphone, especially when your kid has cracked the remote.

Playing this game with my parents and enjoying home-cooked meals with family.

Also re-watching this series, new to our kids, all of whom think it’s hilarious. RIP Captain Holt.

I can’t believe this month is almost over! Time does fly when you’re having fun!  Still, I think I’d have more fun once the snow has melted. It was so nice to drive on the street and be able to see the lines again, not to mention the actual road. First world problems though. Enjoy the rest of your week!
